Trustee Yoon has played a major role in Korea's economic success. During the early years
of Korea's industrialization after Korean War, Trustee Yoon successfully carved out a niche
in the global market for Korean products.
Trustee Yoon held the CEO positions at Daewoo Corporation, Daewoo Heavy Industries
& Machinery Ltd., Korea Heavy Industries & Machinery, and Doosan Heavy Industries &
Machinery LTD., respectively. He is currently Founder & Chairman of Heam Management
Consulting in the Industrial and Management Fields.
Trustee Yoon’s expertise in mediation has expanded into the diplomatic service. He
has held various positions in the field of international relations, including the chairman
of the Republic of Korea and Mongolia Economic Cooperation, the chairman of the
Republic of Korea and Germany Economic Cooperation, and the President of Goodwill
Association of the Republic of Korea and Russia. He has served as the Honorary Consul
of the Republic of Uganda in Korea from 1991 to 2012. He has received various
awards recognizing his outstanding leadership and contributions to the global trades
and industries, including the Order of the Knight Officer from the Italian Government,
the Order of Industrial Service Merit Gold Tower which is the highest award given to the
businessman from the Government of Korea, the Award for International Trade, and the
Grand Award for Ethical International Trade.
Trustee Yoon, the chairman of the Council of Governors of 2009-10 of Zone 9 and 10A,
joined the Rotary Club of Seoul-Hangang in 1990. Since 1996, he has been a member of
the Rotary Club of Seoul – Hoehyon. He has served as a member of RI Finance Committee
in 2008-11, a Training Leader in 2011-12. He is Member of Finance Committee and
Fund Development Committee of The Rotary Foundation. He is a Member of Stewardship
Committee(2017-18) and the Board of Trustees of The Rotary Foundation(2014-18), and a
Member of Arch C. Klumph Society, BNF and Paul Harris Society.
Trustee Yoon and his wife, Seung Ja, have two daughters, one son and six grandchildren.
